On paper, everything is fine. So why doesn't it feel that way?
Counselling online for adults who feel stuck, anxious, low, or quietly certain that something is not quite right. Together, we make sense of the patterns underneath, where they came from and how they still run, so that you have a choice in them.

Is this you?
You keep ending up in the same place: the same arguments, the same kind of relationships, the same Sunday night dread, and you cannot quite work out why.
From the outside your life looks fine, which somehow makes it harder to explain why it does not feel fine.
You can see exactly what you would like to do differently, and in the moment the old response takes over anyway.
You are the capable one, the one other people lean on, and you are quietly running on empty.
Some days it is anxiety, some days a flatness you cannot name. Mostly it is a sense that something is not quite right, and that it has been that way for a while.
If any of that feels familiar, you are in the right place. None of it means there is something wrong with you. These patterns made sense once. They were how you learned to cope, usually early, usually because they helped at the time. What was learned can be understood, and once it is understood, you have a choice you did not have before.
What working together is like:
You do not need to arrive with the right words, or even know where to begin. Many people wonder whether their problems are serious enough for counselling. If something is weighing on you, it is serious enough. My role is to make this a space where you can think out loud, feel whatever you feel, and not be judged for any of it. We will go at your pace, and nothing is too small to bring.
Rather than only managing how you feel week to week, we look at what sits underneath: the patterns in how you relate to yourself and to other people, where they came from, and how they still shape things now. Transactional Analysis gives us a clear, practical language for this. It tends to make the invisible obvious, and the obvious workable.
If you have tried therapy before and it felt like pleasant conversations that never quite went anywhere, that matters. I care about you understanding yourself, not just feeling temporarily better. I was a teacher before I was a counsellor, and it shows: I would rather you leave a session with something that makes sense of you than with a technique you will forget by Thursday.
There is a reason this matters. One of the most consistent findings in the research is that what helps most in therapy is not a particular method, it is the relationship between you and your counsellor. So the real question is simply whether you feel comfortable with me.
That is what the free consultation is for. A relaxed, no pressure conversation to see how it feels to talk with me, with no obligation to carry on.
A little about me…
Hi, I am Roman, an integrative counsellor working online.
I became a counsellor because I know what it is to feel stuck in patterns you did not choose. I came to the UK at the age of ten, unable to speak the language, and spent years feeling like an outsider trying to translate myself in order to belong. Much of my own growth has come through therapy of my own. That experience shapes how I work, with warmth, honesty and a real belief that things can change.
Before counselling, I spent six years as a teacher. Teaching taught me how to explain difficult things clearly, which I still care a great deal about. Therapy should not be a mystery that happens to you. You should understand what we are doing and why.

Reaching out is often the hardest part, especially when you cannot quite explain what is wrong. You do not need to be able to. There is no pressure and no rush. If something here resonated, I would be glad to hear from you. The free consultation is simply a relaxed conversation, a chance to see how it feels to talk, with no obligation to go further.
Feeling that something is not quite right is reason enough. You do not need to wait until it gets worse.
